Piercing a Minor Info

In the state of Texas, in order for us to legally pierce a minor (anyone under the age of 18), we require a few documents. 

We will need:

• Minor’s birth certificate
• Minor’s state issued ID/school ID
• Parent/legal guardian ID
• Parent/legal guardian must be present

If the minor has been adopted, we will also need the adoption paperwork.

We understand that it can be difficult for a child to have an ID, but it is required by Texas state law. The law is in place to protect the child and ensure that the person bringing them to be pierced is. in fact, their parent or legal guardian.
